The SSC CPO Exam is a national-level test conducted by SSC for recruiting candidates into the Central Police Organization. There are different posts under SSC CPO which are SI in CAPF and Delhi Police. The SSC CPO stands for Staff Selection Commission Central Police Organization and Four different phases that candidates need to be clear

SSC CPO Exam Pattern
SSC CPO exam has three different phases that candidates need to clear in order to get selected for various posts in Delhi Police, CAPFs, CISFs etc. SSC CPO Paper 1 is Objective Multiple Choice Question paper. The paper-II exam is the English Comprehension Test, while PET/PST Test is conducted to check the endurance (medical and physical strength) of the candidate.

SSC CPO PET/PST Test–
SSC CPO Physical Test will be conducted for the candidates who will qualify in the SSC CPO Paper I Examination. The physical test is the second stage of the selection process. The Physical test is further divided into two tests Physical Endurance Test(PET) and Physical Standard Test(PST).
SSC CPO Physical Standard Test (PST)–
The Candidates should fulfil the standards(Height, Weight) of the Physical Standard Test which are set by SSC. Below are the details of the Physical Standards required for the Male and Female candidates of various categories:

SSC CPO Physical Endurance Test (PET)–
The PST test will be conducted once the candidate finishes the PET test. Physical Endurance Test is different for both Male and females. Below are the different activities to be performed by the candidates:
Male Candidates-
- 100 metre race in 16 seconds
- 1.6 Km Race in 6.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.65 metres in 5 chances
- High Jump: 1.2 metres in 3 chances
- Short put 16 LBS: 4.5 metres in 3 chances
Female Candidates-
- 100 metre race in 18 second
- 800 metre race in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 2.7 metres or 9 feet in 3 chances
- High Jump: 0.9 metres or 3 feet in 3 chances
Important Points to be remembered for Physical Test-
- There is no minimum requirement for chest measurement for female candidates.
- The candidates who are declared as not qualified in Physical Standard Test may appeal to the authorities present on the ground.
- The decision of the Authorities would be final and no further appeal is entertained.
- Ex-Servicemen who applied for the post are not required to attend the PET.

SSC CPO Medical Test-
The candidates qualified in the test will be called for the SSC CPO Medical test. The SSC CPO Medical Test is done by the Medical officer of CPAF or any Medical officer/Assistant Surgeon. The candidates who are not fit for the post can appeal to the medical board within 15 days. Criteria for the Medical Test is given below:
- Minimum Near Vision: N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye)
- Minimum Distant Vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye)
- Must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes
- Eye standards should be without visual correction of any kind even by glasses.
